Our Story

Founded in 2005 by master leather artisan Giovanni Bianchi, SKLNSMONKERY began as a small workshop in Florence, the heart of Italian leather crafting. Giovanni's vision was to create a school that would preserve traditional leather crafting techniques while embracing modern innovations.

The name "SKLNSMONKERY" pays homage to the medieval European monasteries where leather crafting was refined and preserved during the Middle Ages. Just as those monks dedicated themselves to their craft, our school is committed to the meticulous traditions of leather working.

Over the years, we've grown from a small workshop to an internationally recognized institution, attracting students from across the globe who seek to learn authentic Italian leather crafting methods.
