At SKLNSMONKERY, we are committed to providing exceptional leather crafting education and ensuring our students' satisfaction. We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to change your plans. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for course cancellations, transfers, and refunds.
1. Satisfaction Guarantee
SKLNSMONKERY offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all our courses. If you're not completely satisfied with the quality of instruction or materials provided during the first day of a multi-day course, we will provide a refund or credit at our discretion.
This guarantee applies to both one-time courses and certificate programs.
2. Course Cancellation by Students
If you need to cancel your enrollment in a course, the following terms apply:
2.1 Standard Courses
- Cancellations more than 30 days before the course start date: Full refund minus a €50 administrative fee
- Cancellations 15-30 days before the course start date: 50% refund
- Cancellations less than 15 days before the course start date: No refund, but credit toward a future course may be offered at our discretion
2.2 Master Classes and Intensive Programs
- Cancellations more than 60 days before the course start date: Full refund minus a €100 administrative fee
- Cancellations 30-60 days before the course start date: 50% refund
- Cancellations less than 30 days before the course start date: No refund
2.3 Course Deposits
Deposits to secure placement in high-demand courses are non-refundable but may be transferred to another course with sufficient notice, as outlined in our Course Transfer Policy.
3. Course Transfers
If you're unable to attend a course you've registered for, you may request to transfer to another scheduled offering of the same course, subject to the following conditions:
- Transfer requests made more than 30 days before the original course start date: No transfer fee
- Transfer requests made 15-30 days before the original course start date: €50 transfer fee
- Transfer requests made less than 15 days before the original course start date: €100 transfer fee
Transfers are subject to availability in the requested course. If the new course has a higher fee, you will be responsible for paying the difference. If the new course has a lower fee, we will issue a credit for the difference, not a refund.
4. Course Cancellation by SKLNSMONKERY
In the rare event that we need to cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, facility issues, or other circumstances beyond our control:
- We will notify you as soon as possible
- You will receive a full refund of your course fee, including any non-refundable deposits
- Alternatively, you may choose to transfer to another course or receive credit for a future course
Important Note: SKLNSMONKERY is not responsible for non-refundable travel expenses, accommodations, or other costs incurred by students in relation to a canceled course. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for significant travel arrangements.
5. Refunds for Material Purchases
For leather, tools, and other materials purchased from our shop:
- Unused materials in original packaging: Full refund if returned within 14 days of purchase
- Defective materials: Full refund or replacement if reported within 7 days of purchase
- Custom-cut leather or materials: Non-refundable
- Sale items: Non-refundable unless defective
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error or defective products.
6. How to Request a Refund
Refund Request Process:
- Contact Customer Service: Submit your refund request in writing to refunds@sklnsmonkery.com or through the "Contact Us" form on our website.
- Provide Details: Include your name, contact information, course or order details, and reason for requesting a refund.
- Review: Our team will review your request and may contact you for additional information if needed.
- Decision: We will notify you of our decision within 5 business days of receiving your request.
- Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days of approval.
7. Refund Methods
Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase:
- Credit/debit card payments: Refunded to the same card
- Bank transfers: Refunded to the originating account
- PayPal: Refunded to the PayPal account
Please note that it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution's processing times.
8. Special Circumstances
We understand that unexpected situations such as medical emergencies, family crises, or other serious circumstances may arise. In such cases, we may consider exceptions to our standard refund policy.
If you need to request a refund due to special circumstances, please provide documentation supporting your situation (such as a doctor's note). Each case will be evaluated individually.
